MEGC Tank Container for hydrogen transportation
Eurotainer offers high-pressure MEGCs (Multi-Element Gas Cylinders) designed for the transport and distribution of hydrogen.
Hydrogen: a rapidly growing market
These containers comply with ADR standards and are available in several configurations (20 ft, 30 ft, 40 ft), with Type I to Type IV cylinders (carbon steel to carbon fiber).
They are also suitable for transporting other gases: nitrogen trifluoride NF₃, tetrafluoroethane, and other gases found in the air.
Hydrogen is now at the heart of the global energy transition:
Every sector seeing it as a major opportunity for performance and decarbonization:
- In industry, it is gradually replacing fossil fuels, enabling manufacturers of steel, chemicals, electronic components, and advanced materials to instantly reduce their emissions while improving the reliability of their processes.
- In mobility, hydrogen is transforming commercial fleets: long-distance trucks, buses, trains, logistics vehicles, and ships are finally gaining access to powerful, clean, and rapidly rechargeable zero-emission energy—a key asset for intensive operations and long distances.
- For energy companies and infrastructure operators, hydrogen is becoming a real strategic lever: massive energy storage, securing sensitive sites, valorizing renewable surpluses… all applications that are accelerating demand for reliable and immediately available transport solutions.
And this momentum is growing at the local and regional level, with the development of H₂ stations, logistics hubs, captive fleets, and local carbon-free ecosystems. At each stage, a common need emerges: to transport hydrogen in large quantities, safely, flexibly, and at a controlled cost.
This is precisely what Eurotainer’s high-pressure MEGCs enable, making them the preferred solution to support the growth of hydrogen across all sectors—from pilot projects to commercial deployment.
